Angela L. Edwards

Ms. Angela L. Edwards is a graduate of Washington County High School and Transylvania University, and she received her juris doctor degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. On February 5, 2018, she became affiliated with Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company of Kentucky (LMICK), and on July 1, 2018, she became its Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer. Before joining LMICK, she was a Partner in the Litigation Department with the firm of Dinsmore and Shohl, where she practiced in the areas of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) litigation and commercial litigation. She counseled clients with business disputes and represented insurers, employee benefit plans, claims administrators, and employers with benefits issues. 

She is a member of the Louisville Bar Association (LBA) and serves on the LBA’s Diversity and Summer Internship Attorney Steering Committees. She is a past President of the LBA. She is a Life Member of the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference, the University of Kentucky College of Law Visiting Committee, and she currently serves as Chair of the Transylvania University Board of Regents.  She is a past Commissioner on the Kentucky Executive Branch Ethics Commission and a former Litigation Fellow of America.
