Getting Started

We strive to make your online experience exceptional. In addition to the essential resources below, the University offers a variety of services and involvement for online students. Please explore the items in the navigation menu to view the opportunities and resources available to you, or visit Distance Learning Readiness or the FAQ to learn more about online learning.

Online Learning Readiness

Your linkblue ID and password are your universal username and password that get you into everything electronic at UK. You'll use this to confirm your attendance; utilize the class registration, billing and payment system; apply for UK Campus Housing; access UK systems like myUK and Canvas; and a lot more. Set up your Linkblue account.

Technical Requirements

The University of Kentucky strongly recommends that each student purchase a personal computer. Distance learning students are also encouraged to acquire specific hardware, software, and internet connection to ensure that all systems used by distance learning courses will function properly.
