Stop Taking a Course - Early in the Semester
I want to stop taking a course I am taking right now, and it’s very early in the semester.
There is a brief period (during roughly the first week or two of classes) at the beginning of every term when a student can add and drop courses without many restrictions. This is called “add/drop.” During add/drop, a student can drop a class for any reason and will not be charged for the class, nor will the dropped class show up on the student’s transcript. The amount of tuition refunded is based upon the date by which you stop taking your course(s). The Registrar posts official versions of University calendars, which include the dates when you can drop a course.
