PATTERN:

Hook: Mustad 94840, #16, 18, 20
Thread: Black 8/0 Monocord
Tail: none
Body: Black Dubbing (or Cinnamon) - I used Spirit River synthetic
Hackle: Black (or Red or Brown)
Wing: none

Tying Instructions:

Tie on thread, cover hook shank down to just past the start of the bend. Small amount of dubbing, wrapped into an elongated ball on shank. Two turns of hackle (sparse), then more dubbing for front of fly. Front dubbing should be smaller than back. Tie off, making small black head. Secure thread with drop of fleximent, if desired.
