The Content
At the present time most research studies are from the United States. However, we will continue expanding the research to include studies from around the world. This is one of our major goals. Nonetheless, this collection of works is now easily accessible globally by anyone who is interested in children’s music education, and who wishes to learn about current research findings about Orff Schulwerk, and perhaps be inspired to do some research to add to the knowledge base.

The authors are responsible for finding, inputting, and maintaining the content found within the index. Unintentional omissions and errors are possible, but we will regularly update information. We seek feedback, assistance and comments from the international music education community in the hopes of improving the database, as well as finding and including new and omitted research. Please follow the guidelines provided to submit your work or knowledge of overlooked work for our consideration. (See webliography submission)

The authors are grateful to ISME for the web space and the opportunity to share this webliography. We are also thankful to the American Orff-Schulwerk Association for their support with this project, and we are indebted to the web administrators at the University of Kentucky who assisted us from the beginning of this undertaking. The materials here pertain only to research in Orff Schulwerk in music education settings, readers are encouraged to find additional resources about Carl Orff and his approach at various centers such as the Orff Zentrum, the Isabel McNeill Carley Collection at the Eastman Library, and Orff Organizations at various countries.
