It was my freshmen year of high school and I was terrified of entering into a new school, although my peers were encountering the same situation.  Every teacher seemed intimidating and always in need of frightening the newcomers.  The assistant principal roamed the halls waiting for the precise moment when he spotted students misbehaving, so that he could snatch them and immediately drag them to the office.

I had heard stories from my older friends about how these teachers were always wearing nasty looks upon their faces, making sure that they instilled fear into every student.  Hearing about all of this made me think that each teacher was cruel and wanted to make every student’s life miserable.  This terrified me and, therefore, I became a shy student, afraid to speak.                                   www.propagandacritic.com/articles/ct.sa.fear.html

On the first day of school, I unhurriedly walked into the high school building, not wanting to be there.  The atmosphere around me appeared as a dungeon with evil lurking around every corner.  I immediately formed a conclusion: this would be the worst experience of my entire life.  Little did I know, it would turn out to be the best experience, teaching and motivating me to press forward.
