PURPOSE:
- Enable you to apply management concepts to "real world " cases.
- Broaden your educational experience through research.
- Enhance your knowledge of the management world.
- Improve your communication skills.
THE PAPER
- Students must submit a topic and outline of the paper six weeks prior to paper due date.
- The paper must be typed, double space, maximum of twelve pages (body) excluding graphs, appendixes, references, and cover page.
- Topics must relate to materials/concepts discussed in the class.
- A management survey can be conducted, however, prior approval of questionnaire and topic must be granted. A leadership biography concentrating on management and leadership skills can be used as a topic.
- At least five references must be used for this paper excluding your current text book.
- References must be credible business periodicals or books. You may check with me prior to your selection. Examples: WSJ, Bus Wk, Fortune, Inc, etc.
- The paper must be written with proper spelling and grammar.
- The paper must have three main parts. Executive summary, body, and reflection/opinion and conclusion. Headings and sub-headings must be used.
- Due Date for the papers is APRIL 15,
1999. Outlines and topics are due FEBRUARY 23, 1999.
- No late papers will be accepted. Late outlines and topics will be penalized three points/day.
You will need to schedule a conference with me prior to your Outline submission date.
I highly recommend a meeting between you and I to discuss your interests, ideas, and possible topics. Do not get started without my approval. I am here to provide guidance.
