USA, Louisiana - May, 2006 (Saratha Kumudini) - Project Update

Dr. Jim Board, Crop physiologist at LSU planted the research plots in Baton Rouge Louisiana on May 11 and plants emerged on May 16. He planted Maturity Group (MG) IV and V indeterminate varieties. The MG IV variety is the same genotype that will be planted by Dr. Saratha Kumudini in KY. The two locations shall have one genotype in common.

Dr. Jim Board, Crop physiologist at LSU planted the research plots in Baton Rouge Louisiana on May 11, 2006. Plants emerged 5 days later (May 16, 2006). The test was planted on raised beds with a 38" wide row spacing and a 24' row length (reduced to 20' after emergence). The test will be a randomized complete block in a split plot arrangement with 4 replications. Main plots are 2 varieties: 1. and 2. . Dr Board planted DP4331 (MG IV) and P95M80 (MG V) indeterminate varieties. The MG IV variety is the same genotype that was planted by Dr. Kumudini in KY. The two locations have one genotype in common.
