Congratulations to Dr. Tracy Kitchel for being one of five alumni from Ohio State's College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences named a 2008 Young Professional Achievement Award winner.

Students were very active at the 80th National FFA Convention. Here are some highlights of our activities:
- Students attended ATA Conclave (placed 3rd of 18 quiz bowl teams, Matt Whitaker was the Outstanding Secretary in Parli and Daniel Bustle was the Outstanding Chair in Parli out of 12 teams).
- Students assisted National FFA with providing CDE Tours and serving as hosts for Proficiency Awards.
- Students assisted NAAE by recruiting future teachers at the Career Show
- Students served as chaperones for their student teaching site

Congratulations to Joey Blackburn (M.S. '07) and Shane Robinson (Ag Ed faculty 2006-2007) for winning the Outstanding Research Paper Presentation at the North Central AAAE Research Conference in Columbia, Missouri.
The paper was based on Blackburn's thesis.

On Saturday, November 17, approximately 25 Ag Ed majors will be recognized for receiving over $50,000 in college scholarships at the Annual College Scholarship Banquet!
