Incredible Insects On Tour

Teachers and 4H leaders in the the 25 counties in far western Kentucky have a valuable new resource on insects. The Incredible Insects on Tour project is a traveling display, resource box, and handbook developed as a joint project of the Kentucky IPM Program, County Extension Agents for 4H and Youth Development, and the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.Incredible Insects

The display and teaching materials emphasize life cycles of insects, recognition of beneficial insects, biological control, and the role of insects in our environment.

The display has proved an effective tool for introducing IPM concepts in the classroom; information included can be used to suit the needs of students from pre-school to high school. Incredible Insects On Tour has been very popular--over 800 students viewed the display and used the resource materials in the first five months.
