WHAT IS AN INSECT?
There are over 1 million species of insects in the world, and over 10 thousand species in Kentucky. That's a bunch of different insects. But they all have a few things in common: all insects have 6 legs, 3 body parts (head, thorax, and abdomen), and 2 antennae. Spiders and Other Arthropods will always have more than 6 legs.
