The service took place on April 21, 2011 on the North Lawn of the Main Building.

What is UK Remembers?

UK Remembers began as a Make the Difference submission from Nathaniel Hopkins, Ph.D., a staff psychologist at the University's Counseling and Testing Center. The first UK Remembers Campus Memorial Service took place in April 2010. Speakers honored students, faculty, staff, alumni, and retirees who had passed away during the 2009-2010 school year.

A Continuing Tradition

UK Remembers is now held each Spring. Each year, the campus community is invited to contribute remembrances or names to the UK Remembers memorial wall. During the event, the wall is displayed and attendees can contribute additional messages. Memorial comments are also posted on the UK Remembers Facebook page.

For those off-campus or whose schedules do not permit them to attend in person, the service is live-streamed from the UK Work-Life home page.
