Changes Highlighted in Letter to Employees
Pending changes to UK retiree health benefits will be highlighted further in letters sent to employee and retiree homes during the week of September 4. The text of these materials is included below.

About the Retiree Health Benefits Committee
The Retiree Health Committee is an advisory subcommittee appointed by the President of the University of Kentucky. The Retiree Health Committee also reports to the President through the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration. The purpose of the subcommittee is to further study and make recommendations regarding the proposed changes to the Retiree Health Care Benefit.
The Health Benefits Committee began its work in January, 2005. Over the course of 2005, the Committee held numerous meetings, conducted several open forums, and closed by making its final recommendations to the Executive Vice President for Finance & Administration in December.
All Retiree Health Benefits Committee minutes, presentations, research, and reports are available online. The Committee would like to encourage employees and retirees to review the online information.
