HR Student Employment
HR Student Employment’s job is to help STUDENTS find jobs while attending the University of Kentucky and to help EMPLOYERS by advertising positions and screening students to be referred for consideration.
- Online job posting lists flexible student jobs in a variety of fields off- & on-campus. These postings begin with the requisition prefix "js".
- Screening interviews match students with jobs that fit individual skills, schedules, and interests.
- Referrals put students in contact with employers who will know you meet their requirements.
FIFTH ANNUAL STUDENT EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR CONTEST
Please join the UK Human Resources Student Employment Office in publically recognizing outstanding contributions and achievements of University of Kentucky student employees. We proudly announce the Fifth Annual Student Employee of the Year Contest. University employers are each asked to nominate one student employee who has shown exemplary commitment and initiative in his/her work. The University of Kentucky HR Student Employee of the Year Program will select 5-10 finalists to compete for first place. Each finalist and their nominating supervisor will be recognized at an award ceremony on Wednesday, April 4. Students must meet the following criteria in order to be nominated:
1. Students must currently be work-study or hourly student employees at UK.
2. Students must have completed or expect to complete at least six months of part-time or 3 months of full-time employment on or before April, 2012.
3. Students may not be employees of the UK HR Student Employment Office.
4. Students must be in a UK degree program and enrolled in at least a half time credit load for both Fall 2011 and Spring 2012.
We encourage all employers to nominate their outstanding student worker by March 16. Feel free to pass this opportunity on to other supervisors in your area.
