Student Employee of the Year 2010
The third annual UK Student Employee of the Year Banquet was held on Monday, April 12 in the Student Center Small Ballroom. This year's winner,
Management major Kaelysia Woods, was recognized for serving as a role model for fellow students working in UK's Office of Student Involvement.

A Standout Employee, Model Student
With her outgoing personality and natural leadership quality, Student Involvement was a clearly a good fit for Kaelysia's major, talents and interests. During the award ceremony, Student Employment Program Coordinator Chuck Embs cited the words of her supervisors:
"Kaelysia is the #1 student assistant, standing out from the rest. She is very deserving of this honor. As Kaelysia enters graduate school next year I believe she is prepared for the task. She is making the best use of her undergraduate career and each opportunity she has been given. She has been a strong role model for our entire student assistant group...She possesses the strength, passion, work ethic and heart to make a difference."
Our congratulations and best wishes to Kaelysia on this award - and, of course, on her graduation and acceptance to graduate school.

An evening to remember
The Student Employee of the Year event provides a unique opportunity for the University - including administration, hiring departments and supervisors - to recognize and celebrate the unique contributions made by students. The featured speakers at this year's event was Dana Macaulay, Asst. Director of Residence Life for Student Conduct and Residential Safety.
Appropriately enough, this event was coordinated by UK Student Employment: Program Coordinator Chuck Embs, Administrative Associate Kellye Doyle, and students Abby Leonard and Abbie Wilkerson.
