Troubleshooting - Clearing the Web Browsing Cache in Microsoft Internet Explorer

The following instructions should clear the cache in Microsoft Internet Explorer.

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Press the following keys simultaneously: CTRL + Shift + Delete. A window called “Delete Browsing History” should appear.
  3. Uncheck everything except for “Temporary Internet files.”
  4. With only “Temporary Internet files” checked, click the “Delete” button.
  5. Depending on the size of your cache, this may take a little while. After the screen closes, close out of Internet Explorer and reopen it. Your homepage should load as it normally did.
