The Communication department's mission is to generate new knowledge about communication practices in society, organizations, and the lives of individuals through our active research programs. We work with external constituencies to improve the quality of communication in everyday life. Our students acquire the knowledge to understand the challenges and opportunities of a diverse and democratic society, and the skills to perform effectively and ethically as citizens.
