Virtual Book Club

04/27/2020 - 12:00pm

The College of Health Sciences is proud to offer a virtual book club for four weeks beginning on April 27, with discussion being led by four of our faculty members –

  • Johanna Hoch, Ph.D., ATC, and Matt Hoch, Ph.D., ATC, Athletic Training
  • Richard Andreatta, Ph.D., FASHA, Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Cheryl Vanderford, MPAS, PA-C, Physician Assistant Studies
  • Sarah Kercsmar, Ph.D., Clinical Leadership and Management

We’ll be reading The Energy Bus by Jon Gordon, a Wall Street Journal bestseller on how to fuel your life, work, and team with positive energy.

A personal goal of mine this year was to read more – I find myself getting so caught up with work, housework, and keeping up with friends and family that it’s hard to make time for something I enjoy like reading. Since staying at home, I’ve been able to enjoy this activity a little more and thought maybe you have, too.

There’s no charge for the book club, but you’ll be responsible for obtaining a copy of the book. I’ve found that it’s available on the Libby app, Amazon, Target, and Walmart.com. I’m sure other online retailers have the book as well. To sign up, simply fill out this form.

We’ll be running the book club through Facebook, and will add you to a Facebook group based on the email you provide. We’ll have discussion questions, podcasts, videos and more to enhance your experience with the book – which is all about adding positive energy to your life. I feel like we could all use a little bit more optimism right about now.

With so much going on around us, I hope you’ll take the time to do something for yourself – sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride with us on The Energy Bus.
