Dr. Hustad's research focuses on characterizing and enhancing longitudinal speech, language and communication development and outcomes in children with cerebral palsy (CP). This work seeks to create and validate data-based longitudinal models of speech and language development in CP that can be used to predict outcomes, and guide treatment decision-making. Hustad’s work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders since 2003.
