Do you remember what it was that you connected with, that let you know right away that CHS was the right place for you?

Their program was highly clinical and I felt like I wanted/needed the challenge

Did you come to UK knowing you wanted to pursue a career in health sciences?

I already had an undergraduate degree in nutrition and work experience. I came to UK to get a graduate degree.

What is the best advice you received from a CHS faculty member?

If you don’t know the answer to a question, look it up. Research it!

What do you love about your job?

I work with individuals who challenge me daily.

How do you stay inspired professionally?

My clients inspire me.

What do you hope now to accomplish in health care?

I would like to work more with policy makers in Kentucky to unsure that anyone who suffers from an eating disorder has resources and access to appropriate and excellent care.

What advice do you have for students in CHS now?

Take advantage of all opportunities for work, whether it be paid or volunteer – and be grateful for what you have learned regardless of the setting.

What do you wish you would have paid more attention to as a student in regards to your work in healthcare?

I wished I had taken more classes outside of the realm of my degree to balance out my education such as finance or exercise physiology.
