Work+Life Connections is a voluntary, confidential counseling and referral service that provides support for UK individuals, couples, and families. This benefit includes free and reduced-fee counseling with a licensed therapist. Additionally, we offer training for supervisors and departments on topics ranging from managing stress to processing grief to helping prevent suicide.
Workplace flexibility is rethinking how work has been “traditionally” accomplished. It means adjusting work hours outside the 8:00 – 5:00. It means sometimes working from locations other than on campus – at a home office, the library, a coffee shop. For many departments and teams, workplace flexibility is the new norm for how work gets done.
Big Blue Family Care is a network of current UK students, UK skilled healthcare professionals, and benefits-eligible UK retirees who offer occasional caregiving (i.e. child care, elder care, pet care) to UK faculty and staff.
Each caregiver has created a profile so you can learn more about them, their caregiving background and certifications, availability, and contact information.
Each Big Blue Family Care provider has passed a national background check. Students providing child care have also passed a CPR class that includes certification for infants. Rate of pay and logistics are negotiated between UK faculty or staff member and the care provider.
