Big Blue Cycles is a fleet of more than 150 bicycles available to students living in campus housing who sign a commitment not to bring a car to Lexington. The bicycles for this program will be commuter-style, 8-speeds equipped with fenders, a lock, a helmet and a bell. Participating students will be guaranteed the bicycle for the entire academic year. Bicycles will be due back at the end of the spring semester.
If more than 150 students apply for the bikes, a random drawing will be used to select the group of students eligible for the program. Returning residents who held a parking permit the previous year will receive priority consideration.
Deadline to apply for a Big Blue Cycle has been extended to 11:59 P.M. on Friday, July 28, 2017.
