K. Lance Lucas, Esq., is the managing partner of the law firm of Lucas & Dietz, PLLC.  He began practicing law in 1992 and has devoted his career to representing employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation claims.  Lance was selected for inclusion in "Best Lawyers in America ® " in 2002.  He was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in 1987 and is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky.

Lance is a 1984 graduate of the UK Gatton College of Business and Economics (B.S., Economics) and a 1987 graduate of the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law (J.D.).  After graduating from law school, Lance was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force and assigned to Undergraduate Pilot Training, Williams AFB, Chandler, AZ.  Upon graduation from pilot training, he attended USAF survival school at Fairchild AFB, Spokane, WA, and combat crew training in the KC-135R at Castle AFB, Merced, CA.  He was then assigned to Altus AFB, Altus, OK to the 340th Air Refueling Wing.  Lance is a veteran of both Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.

Lance and his wife Liza (B.A., Social Work, UK 1987) reside in Union, KY and they are the proud parents of Kenton Lucas (B.B.A., Accounting & Finance, UK 2013) and Maddie Myers (B.A., Marketing & Management, UK 2016).
