Lizzy Hornung, from Louisville, Kentucky, is a senior studying biomedical engineering and is currently applying to medical school, with hopes to attend the University of Kentucky College of Medicine next year. Lizzy currently serves as the UK Student Body President and is involved in multiple organizations including: Tri Delta, Phi Delta Epsilon Pre-Medical Fraternity, and UK Athletics. Last year she served in the Student Government Association as an elected undergraduate Senator At-Large on the Appropriations and Revenue Committee.

Lizzy campaigned on promoting student voice and access to student resources. During her term leading the student body, she plans to bolster the many services offered by the Student Government Association to maximize their reach on campus, as well as focus on increased advocacy for students to the university administration.

In her time as Student Body President and Trustee, Lizzy plans to be a champion for student interests, always focusing on how to make the student experience at the University of Kentucky as great as it can possibly be.
