Samuel (Alex) Boone is a Lexington native and long-time supporter of the equestrian sport. Mr. Boone received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Kentucky ('82) and is among three generations of UK graduates, including his father Hilary Boone ('41) and his daughter Catie Boone ('13).  

Boone founded and operates multiple businesses. He currently serves on the Boards of the Markey Cancer Center Foundation, Chair; Kentucky Horse Park Commission, Vice Chair; The Lexington School, Treasurer; Henry Clay Center for Statesmanship; U.S. Equestrian Federation, and U.S. Equestrian Team Foundation, Campaign Chair.

In addition to family and friends, Mr. Boone's hobbies include aviation - Antique Warbirds, endurance road racing, tennis and pickleball. He has two daughters, Catie and Ali ('17 Vanderbilt).
