Mucous Stain of a Sublingual Gland

In this mucicarmine-stained section of the sublingual land, it is obvious that the gland is predominantly composed of mucous-secreting acini. A lobule is contained within the V-shaped connective tissue septa. Note the two distinct secretory ducts (A) within the lobule. In the lower right an intercalated duct (B) joins an secretory duct.
