Customize Your Program with One of Three Tracks:

 

Sport Leadership Careers 

Provides students with the foundation to enter the global sport industry. The content is multidisciplinary – drawing from the social sciences – enhancing learners’ ability to become effective sport industry leaders.

 

Sport Leadership Gaming 

Prepares students for careers in the emerging Esports and Gaming industry. Students earn a degree in Sport Leadership, with a minor in Video Game Design and Development.

 

Sport Leadership Entrepreneurs 

Offers students the opportunity to better understand how to develop new commercial ideas as independent sport entrepreneurs or corporate entrepreneurs within a sport-related organization. Students earn a degree in Sport Leadership with an undergraduate certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurial Thinking.

Graduation Requirements

Completion of the program requires a 2.0 GPA and 120 total hours including: 

  • 45 hours of program requirements

Apply for College of Education Scholarships

In addition to automatic and competitive scholarships from the University of Kentucky, our students are also eligible for a variety of scholarship awards from the College of Education.

For incoming freshmen the scholarship application deadline is February 1. 

For transfer and current students the scholarship application deadline is April 5.

Students can find many opportunities to join organizations. Many of our kinesiology (exercise science) students are involved in:
