This page highlights continuing education resources that the IHP Council recommends if you are interested in learning more about health equity and building diverse and inclusive health-related classrooms and clinical spaces. This resource page will continue to grow over the course of the 2019-2020 academic year.

UK Inclusive Health Certificate Program

The UK Inclusive Health Partnerships Council is building an Inclusive Health Certificate series during the 2019-2020 academic year that will be rolled out during summer 2020. Ultimately, this certificate of completion program will be geared toward future health care professionals in our health colleges as well as current health care professionals in our clinics and classrooms. This hybrid program will integrate web based training modules as well as an in-person capstone experience focused on increasing awareness about key topics related to health equity and providing tangible skills for creating more diverse and inclusive health care environments. Core topics will include an overview of health equity and advocacy landscapes as well as specific modules focused on building inclusive patient-centered spaces for individuals who are minoritized because of race, gender, sexual orientation, language, and geography. Please check back in early summer 2020 for details about the first offerings for the certificate series.
