The baby had now been carried for eleven weeks while Jane had
cancer. The doctors said if she could carry the baby for thirty-four weeks, it
would be long enough to attempt delivery. The day came and Jane had a
sea-section. A miracle had happened that afternoon, a
small, beautiful little girl came into this world. Her name was Annie and she
and her mother were doing fine, but Jane now had
to start
the process of healing. When Annie was ten days old Jane did chemotherapy for
the first time, which progressed into two months of chemotherapy and forty
radiation treatments. Jane was cured of Hodgkin’s Disease
and Annie, after being in the hospital for weeks, turned out perfect healthy.
She is now an on-the-go, smart, fourteen-year-old young lady. Just as a
precaution Jane does go for check-ups twice a year.
