Visiting (Transient)

UK students

The University of Kentucky categorizes visiting (transient) applicants by the following type:

  • TST - Visiting (Transient) student - Taking classes at UK to be transferred to your home institution

Deadlines

Fall: August 1
Spring: December 1
Summer I: April 15
Summer II: May 15

Requirements

Visiting (transient) applicants must submit the following:

  1. Application for Undergraduate Admission
  2. Good Standing Letter: Official letter of good standing including grade point average.  Visiting students may substitute the Visiting Student Form (PDF) instead of a letter of Good Standing.
  3. Non-Refundable Application Processing Fee: Attach $50 in cash, check, or money order made payable to the University of Kentucky. Full-time UK employees who submit a copy of their UK staff card are not required to pay the application processing fee.

Note: Visiting students who request upper division courses should be prepared to provide a transcript to demonstrate prerequisites before registration.
