New Account? Activate it now!
Within a business day of your being accepted as a student, or entered into payroll as an employee, your UK Account is created for you, however it will not be able to receive email until you Activate your account by logging in to the UK Account Manager to change your password, setup your password self-reset questions, and choose an email address. You will also be given the option of forwarding your email to another account at this time, but please note, UK will not keep copies of your email when you enable forwarding. Once activated your userID and password will be used as your link blue userID and password from now on. When you change your password you will be updating your password for all systems that use link blue to login.
Online Access to Email
The Outlook Web Access web site provides convenient and fast online access to your email from any computer with Internet Access. Simply enter your Domain, userID, and password as indicated on the main page and you will be reading and sending email in no time.
Campus Wireless Access
The UKIT Wireless Information web site provides setup instructions and service location for the UK Wireless network. Enabling you to use your personal computer to access the Internet at high speed.
Free and Discounted Software
The UKIT Download web site provides access to software license by UK for the use of our students, faculty, and staff. Simply log in with your link blue userID and password to browse the online catalog, to enable the links to the eAcademy web site to purchase select software at highly discounted rates, or continue on the new download server providing students with access to the latest addition to our software catalog: Office 2007 and Vista for student use.
Student access to computer labs
The Student Computing Services web site provides information on the computer labs providedd to students. These labs contain various software and hardware tools to assist students in their studies, more information including lab location, hours, and available software/hardware is available on the SCS website: http://www.uky.edu/SCS/.
Also availble is the student locker. This locker is accessible as your local H: drive if you are logged in to the SCS labs, or through web based access at https://locker.uky.edu/.
APEX - Degree Audit
APEX compares a student's academic work - at any point in the student's career - with the requirements of UK's academic program or programs, and prepares a comprehensive report detailing the student's progress toward meeting those requirements.
Students can access APEX by logging into the myUK portal, and going to APEX under the Student Services Tab.

Blackboard
Blackboard is provided by the Teaching and Academic Support Center (TASC) for the purposes of developing and delivering courses, as well as for online work group communication and file-sharing.
Blackboard offers a rich variety of tools for posting materials online and facilitating interaction with and among students.
Students can access Blackboard by logging into the myUK portal, and going to Blackboard under the Student Services Tab, and clicking on the 'Continue to Blackboard' button.
Faculty can access Blackboard by logging into the myUK portal, and going to Blackboard Tab, Clicking on the 'Launch Blackboard' button, and clicking on the 'Continue to Blackboard' button.
