Bedford, Kentucky
Bedford, the seat of
Trimble county,
is located in the middle of the county at the junction of US 42 and
US 421. It was settled in the early nineteenth century and named for
the town in Virginia.
The Bedford post office opened in 1818.
The population in 1990 was 761.
