Berea, Kentucky

Berea is a southern Madison county on I-75 and US 25. It was founded by the abolitionist Rev. John Gregg Fee in 1854 on land owned by Cassius M. Clay and named for the city in Macedonia. The first Berea post office opened in 1854. The population in 1990 was 9,126.

Berea is the home of Berea College.
