Edmonton, Kentucky

Edmonton, the seat of Metcalfe county, is located near the center of the county at the junction of US 68, KY 80 and the Cumberland Parkway. It was established in 1800 by Edmund P. Rogers (and named for him) and became the seat of the new county in 1860. The Edmonton post office opened in 1830. The population in 1990 was 1,477.
