SARAH BENNETT HOLMES AWARD

The Sarah Bennett Holmes Award is granted annually to women working at the University who promote the growth and well-being of other women at the University and across the Commonwealth. These awards bring recognition for efforts that would otherwise go unnoticed through typical channels.

Any woman (regular staff or faculty) currently employed by the University is eligible for nomination. Recipients receive $1,000.00 and are announced during the Sarah Bennett Holmes Award Luncheon honoring all of the nominees.

A call for nominations typically is sent out early in the spring semester. Click here to learn about past recipients.

The 16th Annual Sarah Bennett Holmes Award Luncheon was held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, where awards were presented to:

Staff Recipient - Clara Lynn Hiler

Faculty Recipient - Dr. Lynda Brown Wright

The UK Women's Forum would like to commend each nominee for being champions for women's rights and wonderful role models.
