The Sarah
Bennett Holmes Award is granted annually to women working at the
University who promote the growth and well-being of other women
at the University and across the Commonwealth. These awards bring
recognition for efforts that would otherwise go unnoticed through
typical channels.
Two awards will be granted each spring: one female staff member
and one female faculty member. Each recipient receives $1,000.00
and is announced at a ceremony and luncheon for all the nominees.
Any woman (regular staff or faculty) currently employed by the University
is eligible for nomination. A call for nominations typically is
sent out early in the spring semester. Click
here to learn about past recipients.
