JOIN THE UK WOMEN'S FORUM!

While board members are elected to two year terms, any University employee can become a general member of the UK Women's Forum. General members serve on committees and help inform and perform the work of the UK Women's Forum. The work typically performed by each of the four major committees is described below:

Conference Committee
This committee shall be responsible for the planning and publicizing of this annual event and shall oversee all sub-committees.

Sarah Bennett Holmes Award Committee
This committee shall be responsible for the nomination and selection of the Sarah Bennett Holmes Award recipient and the annual award luncheon. The monetary award shall be presented to one full time regular University female faculty employee and one full time regular University female staff employee who meet the award eligibility criteria.

Programs Committee
This committee shall be responsible for UK Women’s Forum events beyond the Sarah Bennett Holmes award/luncheon and the UK Women’s Forum Conference. The Program Committee may have subcommittees formed relative to specific events sponsored by UK Women’s Forum. This committee shall be responsible for providing quality programs for University women and others and provide service projects that will both fulfill a need in the community at large and emphasize the University’s role in increasing the quality of life in our community.
