Reducing violence in our community means no one has to do everything—but everyone has to do something.
Whether you have 5 minutes, 5 hours or 5 days, consider getting involved. Our volunteer motto is “Get what you need and get out!” This reflects our belief that the most important volunteer work you can do isn’t necessarily within the walls of VIP, but rather in your halls, apartments, parties, churches, classes, student orgs, bars, football games – with the people you interact with every day. We believe to make an impact you need to get connected, get educated then find your small way to make informed contributions in your daily life. Consider stopping by VIP to get more information and get plugged in!

- I talked to my friends about the SEEDS retreat I went to.

- I did my English paper over power based personal violence.
- We did a group presentation on VIP.

- A couple was arguing loudly in a restaurant, and I told the manager.
- My friends now know not to make sexist jokes around me.
- When a news article comes out relating to violence, I discuss it with my friends.
