At the University of Kentucky, academic advising is an integral component to our overall educational mission.  Advisors work collaboratively with students, families, staff and faculty to establish a developmental and evidence-based approach that prepares students to become educated citizens. 

The advising process crafts coherent educational plans and uses a variety of campus resources to facilitate the student's rational processes, problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 

Advisors respectively and collectively guide each student towards their educational goals that are consistent with personal interests, values, and abilities and takes responsibility for assisting the students in making a successful transition and meeting academic program requirements.
