Why you selected your area of study: When I was a sophomore in high school, my older brother showed me Japanese anime. After that, I got interested in the culture and language of Japan that I wanted to major in the language. 

Activities performed under area of study: I was part of the Japanese club called JCiKS for two years. I was a peer mentor for International Village senior year. I was the first person to study abroad from UK to Waseda University in Tokyo for Junior year. I was an Education Abroad Peer Ambassador for Education Abroad Senior year. I also had an internship with JASK or Japan/America Society of Kentucky.
