Allylix featured in The Economist

LEXINGTON, KY (June 24, 2010) — Allylix is featured in this week's edition of The Economist in a special section titled "A special report on the human genome: Inhuman genomes." Allylix, a biotechnology firm, licensed its original technology from UK's College of Agriculture and today uses it for the low cost production of high-value terpene products through yeast fermentation. UK is part of the original investors in Allylix through Kentucky Technology Inc. and the Bluegrass Angel Fund. Individual Bluegrass Angels are also original 2004 investors and joined national investors in 2007 for a $3.35 million B round of funding.
