Honors at Kentucky has a long and proud history, dating back to 1958, and thousands of students have passed through our program, exploring themselves and the boundaries of thought with outstanding faculty. Students in the University Honors Curriculum enjoy flexibility to both broaden and deepen their studies at the University of Kentucky through Honors seminars, accelerated departmental Honors courses, and a variety of experiential options.
Honors Pathway Programs allow students in certain majors to have a more specialized trajectory through the Honors curricula, and include Global Scholars, Social Enterprise, Scholars in Engineering and Management (SEAM), and Scholars in Nursing. We welcome you to explore each pathway curriculum option. Interested incoming first-year students should apply for pathway programs through the University Honors Program process, though these pathways are housed with college partners in Gatton College of Business and Economics, the College of Engineering, and the College of Nursing.
