Employee Education Program (EEP)

UK employees may take advantage of tuition benefits at the University of Kentucky and other public universities across the Commonwealth. Enjoy the benefits of the EEP by receiving tuition waiver for UK coursework in order to further your career development, pursue other academic interests or build coursework to build the foundation for career change or advancement. Family Education Program (FEP)

Ease tuition costs by utilizing the tuition and mandatory fee discount now available to eligible family members of regular full-time employees. The discount is applied toward undergraduate coursework and is determined by the employee’s years of service. Read more »

* These deadlines are applicable for classes at UK and based on the UK academic calendar. Other institutions may have different deadlines.

Fall 2016
August 3, 2016 Last day for students in the Employee Educational Program registered through August 3 to submit EEP form to Human Resources Services to confirm 2016 registration and tuition waiver.
August 23, 2016 Last day a student may officially drop a course or cancel registration with the University Registrat for a full refund of fees.
August 24, 2016 First day of classes.
August 30, 2016

Last day to add a class for the 2016 Fall Semester. Last day to officially withdraw from the University or reduce course load and receive an 80 percent refund. Last day for students in the Employee Educational Program registered after August 3 to submit EEP form to Human Resources Services to confirm 2016 registration and tuition waiver.

September 21, 2016 Last day to officially withdraw from the University or reduce course load an receive a 50 percent refund.
December 16, 2016

End of 2016 Fall Semester.

 

Winter Intersessions 2016-17
December 16, 2016 Last day a student may drop a course or cancel registration with the University Registrar for a full refund of fees
December 19, 2016 First day of class. Last day to add a class for the 2016-2017 Winter Intersession. Last day to officially withdraw from the University or reduce course load and receive an 80 percent refund. Last day for students in the Employee Educational Program to submit EEP form to Human Resource Service.
January 2, 2017 Last day to officially withdraw from the University or reduce course load and receive a 50 percent refund.
January 4, 2017

Last day to withdraw from the University or reduce course load. Students can withdraw or reduce course load after this date only for urgent non-academic reasons.

January 10, 2017 End of 2016-2017 Winter Intersession.

 

Spring 2017
December 7, 2016

Last day for students in the Employee Educational Program registered through December 7 to submit EEP form to Human Resource Services to confirm 2017 Spring Semester registration and tuition waiver.

January 10, 2017

Last day a student may officially drop a course or cancel registration with the University Registrar for a full refund of fees

January 11, 2017

First day of classes.

January 18, 2017

Last day to add a class for the 2017 Spring Semester. Last day to officially withdraw from the University or reduce course load and receive an 80 percent refund. Last day for students in the Employee Educational Program who registered and/or changed schedules after December 7 to submit EEP form to Human Resource Services to confirm 2017 Spring Semester registration and tuition waiver.

February 8, 2017

Last day to officially withdraw from the University or reduce course load and receive a 50 percent refund.

May 5, 2017 End of 2017 Spring Semester.

 

Four-week - First Summer Session 2017
May 9, 2017

First day of classes. Last day a student may officially drop a course or cancel registration with the University Registrar for a full refund of fees.

May 10, 2017

Last day to add a class for the 2017 Four-Week Intersession. Last day to officially withdraw from the University or reduce course load and receive an 80 percent refund. Last day for students in the Employee Educational Program to submit EEP form to Human Resource Services for tuition waiver for the 2017 Four-Week Intersession.

May 16, 2017

Last day to officially withdraw from the University or reduce course load and receive a 50 percent refund.

May 23, 2017

Last day to withdraw from the University or reduce course load. Students can withdraw or reduce course load after this date only for “urgent non-academic reasons.”

June 6, 2017

End of 2017 Four-Week Intersession.

 

Eight-week - SecondSummer Session 2017
June 8, 2017

First day of classes. Last day a student may officially drop a course or cancel registration with the University Registrar for a full refund of fees.

June 9, 2017

Last day to add a class for the 2017 Eight-Week Summer Session. Last day to officially withdraw from the University or reduce course load and receive an 80 percent refund. Last day for students in the Employee Educational Program to submit EEP form to Human Resource Services for tuition waiver for the 2017 Eight-Week Summer Session.
