Chinese Culture Courses: 2017 Fall Semester Course Enrollment Now Open.

Martial Arts
Learn the Chinese art of self-defense though strikes, punches and kicks.

Tai Chi
Improve balance, flexibility, and inner harmony with this Chinese martial art form. Students will learn meditation along with the flowing movements while improving immunity and overall health.

Chinese Painting
Chinese painting is one of the oldest continuous artistic traditions in the world. As opposed to Western styles of art, Chinese painting is done with a brush dipped in black or colored ink instead of oil paints.

Chinese Calligraphy
Learn to read and write the oldest continuously used system of writing in the world. Students will recognize components of Chinese characters and learn proper stroke order.

Erhu
Erhu, known as Chinese violin, is one of the most popular solo instrument in Huqin familiy. The sound of erhu is elegant and expressive. Students will learn the basic knowledge and skills of erhu music, and will be able to perform several erhu songs. 

Guzheng
Chinese Zither, known as Guzheng, is one of the oldest musical instruments in China. It has wonderful tones, employs rich skills in playing and elicits strong, expressive, forceful performance. Students will learn the basic knowledge and skills of Guzheng playing.
 

Chinese Language Courses: 2017 Fall Semester Course Enrollment Now Open.

Chinese 1, 2, 3
Learn practical vocabulary, characters and conversation skills. After completing Chinese 3, students will know about 200 characters and be able to hold short conversations on several topics.

Business Chinese
Learn business-specific vocabulary, how to properly present and accept business cards, where to sit during a business dinner, and other Chinese business customs. This course introduces Chinese business etiquette and language skills that are essential for conducting business with and in China.

HSK Tutoring Course
This intensive practice course is designed for HSK candidates, aimed to help them to achieve higher scores on the HSK, which comprises of Elementary Level (Level 1-2) and Intermediate Level (Level 3-4).
