Funded through the International Center (UKIC), the Education Abroad Outcomes Assessment Research Grant provides support for UK graduate or professional students whose research focuses on U.S. education abroad. Facilitated through its Education Abroad unit, UKIC will award 1-2 research grants annually up to $1,000 each. Applicants must be enrolled in a degree-granting UK graduate or professional program and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for all previous graduate work. Grant recipients are required to submit their finding findings in the form of a research paper to UKIC within 12 months of receiving funding.
Proposals and supporting materials should be sent electronically to Dr. Anthony C. Ogden, Education Abroad Director, by 5:00pm EST on September 1 (for research to be conducted during the academic year) or February 1 (for research to be conducted during the summer or upcoming academic year). If the deadline falls on a weekend, applications will be accepted until the following Monday at 5:00p.m. Decisions will be made within 2-4 weeks of the deadline. Grant funds will be posted to the student's UK billing account within two weeks of award notification. Questions should be directed to Dr. Anthony C. Ogden, firstname.lastname@example.org.
