What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

Our team provides design, implementation, maintenance, and support for technology in classrooms and conference rooms on campus as well as Distance Learning classrooms.  We also provide audiovisual support to the Board of Trustee meetings and manage the technology for 3 TV stations here at UK.

What campus units do you collaborate with?

The work our team performs impacts the learning experience of thousands of students at any minute of the day.  Therefore, we work heavily with Networking & Infrastructure to ensure adequate connectivity to our devices and personal devices.  We also work with the Registrar’s Scheduling Office, several units within the Physical Plant Division, and Colleges in order to ensure our designs and systems meet the needs of their faculty and students.

What are your workplace values?

Our goal is to provide customers what they need, when they need it.  Therefore, our team, including myself, try to be proactive in identifying issues and correcting them hopefully before a customer ever knows they exist.

What is your favorite part of working in ITS and UK?

There are no two days alike.  In the nearly 5 years I have been at UK, I have been involved in many large projects each year that push the limits of technology and customer experience to the cutting edge.  Through those projects and our daily support, I know we are ensuring students access to technology that facilitates a higher level of learning.
