Alexandra Dampier DNP, APRN, NP-C
Alexandra (Lexie) Dampier earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kentucky in 2007 and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Kentucky in 2013. She worked in the Neurosurgery ICU and Stroke ICU for several years before joining the UK College of Nursing's undergraduate program. Over the last few years, Lexie has taught students in several of the courses in the undergraduate curriculum. Dr. Dampier is currently the course coordinator for NUR 201: Assessment and Health Promotion Across the Lifespan. She is a board certified family nurse practitioner who practices at the UK College of Nursing Phyllis D. Corbitt Community Health Center in Wilmore, Ky. and at the University Health Services. Dr. Dampier's interests include health promotion across the lifespan as well as depression in individuals with chronic illnesses. Lexie's capstone project was titled, "Depression Screening in Patients with Heart Failure." She is a member of several professional organizations and actively volunteers in the community.
