The intent of this regulation, in conjunction with the Administrative Regulation on Disclosure (AR 3:16) is to enable University faculty employees to recognize situations in which their conduct may violate University policies on conflicts of interest or conflicts of commitment as articulated in the Governing Regulations (GR I.D.2.(i. & j.) and ensure that such situations are properly reviewed and resolved. Thus, an integral part of the regulation on disclosure (AR 3:16) is a reporting mechanism whereby University employees regularly review and disclose those outside activities that may affect their status as a UK employee.
