Patterson Drive Bicycle Racks Temporarily Unavailable Starting June 1

Starting on Monday, June 1, the bicycle racks on Patterson Drive will be temporarily unavailable until approximately mid-July, as a result of a road closure associated with the Student Center renovation and expansion project. During this closure, the bicycle racks will be temporarily removed to accommodate utility work on Patterson Drive.

Members of the campus community who have bicycles parked at these racks are advised to relocate them no later than Wednesday, May 27. Several bicycle parking options are in close proximity to Patterson Drive, including those at the Singletary Center for the Arts, Lafferty Hall, the M.I. King Library and Pence Hall area, and in the interior of the Engineering Quad. A map of bicycle rack locations can be found at http://maps.uky.edu/printablemaps/BicycleMap_11x17.pdf (PDF).

Any bicycles not moved by Thursday, May 28 will be impounded.  If a bicycle is impounded, the owner will have 90 days to claim it at Parking and Transportation Services satellite office in the South Limestone Garage (PS #5) and pay the impoundment fee. Bicycles unclaimed after 90 days will be disposed of in accordance with University Regulations.

During this time, the DIY Fix-It Station on Patterson Drive will also be inaccessible.
