SENSORS and Wildfire Simulation Project
The SENSORS and Wildfire Simulation Project concentrates on simulating sensors which take measurements related to wildfires using the Dynamic Data-Driven Application Systems Project and the prediction of wildfire behavior based on these measurements. This project was worked on by Dr. Craig Douglas when he was with the Department of Computer Science at UK.
The project needed to run multiple simultaneous jobs to aid in both modeling prediction and “stress testing” server which collects data. This problem used the Xgrid by having one Xgrid job simulate one sensor.
