Final Blackboard Updates for 2012
POSTED: DECEMBER 13, 2012
In October 2010, UKIT initiated an Experience, Analysis and Design (EAD) study to collect behavior-based data from faculty and students engaged in online learning at the University of Kentucky. This effort, known as the “Blackboard EAD” identified improvements needed to enhance the Blackboard (Bb) user experience.
One proposed solution from the Bb EAD was to simplify and streamline user access to key Blackboard features and improve the user interface. On November 12, 2012, the Blackboard login screen received a facelift. While users noticed a new look on the login screen, the facelift did not change other Bb features.
Additional Blackboard product improvements are expected for the Spring 2013 term, including a social aspect and new analytics. An outage will occur December 27 -28, 2012 causing Blackboard to be unavailable while enhancements are implemented. Discussion sessions will be held via Adobe Connect to review the new features. To join the discussion click this link during one of session timeframes listed below:
December 18:1 pm- 2pm January 8: 2pm - 3pm
December 20: 10am - 11am January9:: 9 am- 10am
